Mr. Pennsive, since the '70s I've been flashing hi-beams (as Euro cars generally can), not using the low beams as I think you are saying.
And I don't trust the cops to glance in my car. I often try to drive in a collared shirt, & keep the 'bad' stuff in the trunk.
