Companies create models that clearly compete with other models...and then there are models that is in it's own segment by itself.
The i8 stands by itself. There is no comparison, there is no competitor. It's a road-going version of a company's vision for the future of automobiles and is the first revenue generating result of the billions they dumped into the i-car technology so that they can stay in business in the next 20-30 years and still build a M2 for you.
