I remember my Dad's funeral like it was yesterday and it was 43 years ago. We were sitting in the family area at the front with a curtain drawn. When they opened the curtain and I saw my father's flag draped coffin, I pretty much lost it - I just sobbed. I was stationed in Germany when he died suddenly at 61 from a heart attack - never got to say goodbye. My wife was pregnant at the time and ended up having our daughter at 29 weeks and 2 1/4 pounds - due to the stress. We had to leave our daughter in the hospital (which was over 1 hour away) for 3 months until she was big enough to come home. Then she went back to the hospital 3 or 4 more times because she kept forgetting to breathe. Very tough time for all of us. Cried a lot during that time.
