I don't understand this. Yes, it's cheap and can be made from cheap materials and lack features of more expensive interiors etc... however it can still be made to look good. Just because it's cheap doesn't mean it has to be ugly.
That being said I'm not sure I've ever been a fan of any subaru interior. I owned one of the original FRS and I liked it a lot. My main issue with it was that it was very uncomfortable for a fat bastard like me. New seats look like they may be more comfortable, however interior is still as ugly as the original and IMO the old exterior looked better. This new one isn't horrible, but I think it just looks a little more bland.
