I agree, when they shifted from the raised letters to the stickers, they really lost the plot.
The vote came before lotustalk, and in fact it came from before it was renamed from elisetalk. In 2003 and 2004, we used to congregate on a proto-board called Roadfly. There was a guy from Lotus USA named Clyde that was a direct pipeline to the factory guys and he's who took the vote.
