My solution, don't open the door without enough space. I have a Roadster, so I can get in and out without opening the door if need be. But never needed that. In a situation that tight I wouldn't worry about me carefully opening my door and damaging the other car. I would bet that the other way round is the problem usually and just not park there. You will find damage on your car guaranteed soon. Most people don't care about others property.
