I'll be fifty before this book thing is sorted. You'd be happy to know that Kafka got shelf space today, but Päätalo's every book ever written are not yet filed.
My scariest teacher, Mrs Kaskelma had one thing going for her. She picked epic books for us kids to read. She was older than earth but she made us read a ton of classics from your best writers too, and also from a little known Finnish writers. She held translators to a standard I still uphold.
That all said, she said she had to read in university all Päätalo's works. She told us she considers him torture. I'm still so scared of her, I will not be forming my own opinion.
