2018 Yankees

Too early?

What a winter it’s been! Who would’ve thought 2017 team would miss the World Series by one game. From Judge to Sanchez to Severino to Chad Green, a lot of good things have surfaced in the Bronx in 2017. And now...add Stanton and Boone to the mix!!

Let’s see your lineup projection for opening day!

My thinking is 2018 Yankees will follow a lineup similar to 2012 Yankees, where we smacked a club record 245 HRs. Batting order was L-R-L-R, so my guess is we’ll do more or less the same in 2018.

I’m thinking:

1. Gardner - LF
2. Judge - RF/DH
3. Gregorious - SS
4. Stanton - RF/DH
5. Sanchez - C
6. Bird - 1B
7. Hicks - CF
8. Torres - 2B
9. Andujar/Free Agent/Trade - 3B

Wade (2B) and Torreyes (infield) should get plenty of playing time. Unfortunately, I think Clint Fraizer gets dealt, even though I think he’ll be a stud in a year or two. Fingers crossed we somehow dump Ellsbury.

Pitching rotation: Severino, Tanaka, Gray, CC, Montgomery/Trade
