I am reasonably sure that EVERY single i8 has (or will) suffer this fault.

It's a piece of bad engineering. A sensitive component is in an aggressive environment (fuel tank), and inevitably fails.

BMW improved the pressure sensor on the LCI and Roadster, but these will also fail in time.

The improved sensor was fitted in warranty repaired cars, but again will fail. My second sensor has just failed and has been replaced a few days ago. It's a big job to replace it.

I'm now on my 3rd sensor, and know it's just a matter of time before it fails too.
