BMW having Hans Zimmer involved is an excellent marketing strategy though. Personally I don't enjoy the futuristic sounds he's produced and definitely wouldn't want to hear it over and over while on the throttle. Everything else about this car looks very enticing!

It sounds similar to the Taycan's Electronic Sports Sound. Which, natch, is a $500 option. My first drive of a Taycan convinced me it was cool...for about 3 minutes. After that it annoyed the ever loving crap out of me and I turned it off.
This coming from someone who drives an EV every day.
Then again, I have felt the same way about the active sound in the F80, as well as the Soundaktor in my GTi. I guess I just don't like artificial sound, even in the absence of engine noise.
