The first time I saw an accident on an unrestricted part of the autobahn, trees chopped down about ten feet off the ground, I had a similar thought. I can't imagine the carnage on our roads if we raised our speed limits to anywhere approaching triple digits. Driver education and car maintenance is laughable here.
