I'd venture a guess that there is an age divide here with those that are crying looking for sympathy and have the screw the police attitude and those that are saying suck it up.
You are responsible for your actions and decisions. That's how the world works. I don't think for a minute those that are saying suck it up drive like old ladies, or are holier than thou, they are just mature enough to accept the consequences of said actions.
