Come to think about it I'm too sure why they didn't use a modified N20 4 pot engine and give it over 400bhp so it could beat the 911 and R8.

Exactly my thoughts about the inline 4 cyl. For the front axle i think different tire (sidewall and/or compound and/or size), or kinematics could solve the issue. Then there are rumors those in the reviews were not cars with final tire configurations regarding compound at least.
