Indeed she does. That doesn't make it any less off-putting. I think from a male perspective, you take that and can never see a deep love relationship happening with that type of person, so you will always move on.
The only type of male attracted to that is one who is messed up and that is unlikely to make Sara happy in the end either.
I would say it is different than a woman who pursues education to finance what she wants - to a degree. A women who is educated shows maturity and independence. So if she is attracted to you, it is not for what you can offer her, but because of who you are. Which allows for a deeper relationship and ultimately love (hopefully).
