I've used a lot of the Epson 5040 and 6040 projectors. They really are arguably the way to go for the entry level price point.... Especially when you're trying to use a 135" (diagonal) screen. 😳 Personally I'd usually prefer something more refined like a SONY HW45, but the Epson 5040 is the brightness king for entry-level HT projectors even if it is a little rough looking to a mature/experienced viewer.
Big tip for everyone... We pros call these "two-piece projection systems" for a reason... The screen is partially responsible for producing image quality.... Don't skimp on the screen! I personally like the Screen Innovations offerings. www.screeninnovations.com
