Medicine is definitely not an exact science. Exact sciences have no "placebo" in its vocabulary.
Science = Physics, Chemistry, etc.

Where I come from it is considered STEM.
Can't get into medical school or even make it thought without excelling in the "exact sciences." Biochemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, etc. are all fundamental in medical studies and associated research.
