Because Toto was too much interested in MAX . While Bottas felt not so sure to get his new '20 Mercs contract by his lack of performance at the track .
HAM knew the empty seat would be for MAX , that's why he was interested in Ferrari .
In other words : "HAM fears to race against MAX with equal machinery"
He would lose his panties ....
Several months ,everyone could see the tension on Bottas face . Later ,Toto changed his mind and Bottas got finally his new '20 Mercs contract .
That's how Toto kept HAM on his side !
Few weeks later MAX signed until 2023 (3 years) at Red Bull !
