Comfort/Regular mode is Electric only, which is Front Wheel drive unless you are heavy with accelerator (more than 40%) or go over 75mph.
On the dash there is a blue line above the power gauge, if you go beyond (more than 40% throttle) at that point it kicks on the ICE and car becomes AWD.
You know when the ICE is on because the blue eDRIVE line above power disappears. It reappears when you are back on electric/front wheel drive again.
