On the dash there is a blue line above the power gauge, if you go beyond (more than 40% throttle) at that point it kicks on the ICE and car becomes AWD.
You know when the ICE is on because the blue eDRIVE line above power disappears. It reappears when you are back on electric/front wheel drive again.

Thanks for that. I assume that if you are in comfort mode but put 'hold charge' on,
it only uses the ICE on rear wheel drive?
I must admit I haven't decyphed the speed information display fully yet!
