Also did he suddenly become too old? Last season he was winning, now he's getting beaten by a clearly inferior driver like Verstappen who has never won a thing? Don't buy it.
It's just facts of the sport my friend, age/time waits for no body.

It's an age old argument in any comparison of sporting legends.
Michael Jordan / Kobe / Lebron / etc.

Everyone's prime doesn't line up.

MSC's last WDC was at 35 yrs old.
You'd have to go back 25 years to 1996 when Damon Hill won one (his one and only) at 36. To win a WDC 7 times is no small feat no matter who you are.

Let's wait and see.
You're right, people do get older, but I just don't find the argument very compelling in this case. Hamilton goes from consistently winning with no drop off to all of a sudden dropping off completely? I don't buy that argument. I've always said it's mostly the car, not Hamilton that is the GOAT but get demolished by the experts on this forum when I try to make that argument, just doesn't sit well with them. But now I'm getting, well he's too old, his priorities are different. I feel like when it's Hamilton, there's always an explanation. To me, the explanations just aren't that compelling. I don't know who the GOAT is, too many variables, certainly it is not Verstappen. But this whole Sir 7ewis business is out of control. Just my opinion.
