thats what they do in semi-pro karting series around the world my friend.. especially in endurance series.. it can be a solution but not sure it d fit into F1's identity and nature.. it was being discussed before among the grid..
and more importantly Merc can work hard and build the car around that ballast and still can take advantage of it..
