I think I recall somewhere Wolff said no one could have done what Max did but it was seen from Bubble's graph where the golden period of saving the rears came in to save for the expected last gasp dash to the line as Ham was catching up and ex champ Hakkinen has said this was the case.
As far as Max was concerned it was in all a days work for him looking fresh as a daisy on the podium unlike poor Checo who did a sterling job under the circumstances.
