Charging question
Hi all. Just received my new i3s. It's my first electric car so getting my head around it all. Forgive me if this is a really daft question…
I have a Rolec wall pod at home (7.2 kw charger). My i3s came with a Mode 3 cable (22 kw) and a Mode 2 3-pin cable.
I tried plugging in the Mode 3 charger earlier and the car failed to charge. I then tried the Mode 2 (3 pin) and this charges fine.
In iDrive charge settings, Mode 2 is set to Low and Mode 3 is set to Reduced.
Am I missing something as I'm a baffled why Mode 3 charge isn't working? From my understanding the cable can handle a max of 22 kw so it should still charge the car at 7.2 kw without any issue…
