As for VER win: I think this is one of his best and I think his most important yet.
The only mistake (possible mistake?) he imho made was using hard compound for his 2nd set.
Either they then didn't know it should be a 2 stop race (like so many others), or, they are even more strategic and cunning, they used hard compound after their 1st stop to create misinformation that they would complete it in 2 stops
But yellow compound would have lasted that run between 1st and 2nd stop (and he would have been even faster, but then MERC would have immediately know their strategy and could have matched theirs to it)
