As everyone else pointed out, that $54 lease was a mirage. No-one actually leased a car like that, but the story did get i3's some free press. Deals very my model year, state, and the types of credits you qualify for to collect from BMW NA.
A $200+ monthly on BEV is a more realistic target, but again, all depends on what options you pick, where you live, and what credits you can collect.
You can always get a $0.00 / month lease payment by prepaying everything, but that's foolish and a misleading reference point.
