That's great to say and I applaud the people for whom it is that simple. Unfortunately it doesn't work that way for everyone.

I quit regularly smoking almost 15 years ago and still have to fight the urge at least weekly, especially if I'm on the road. Yes, it's far easier now but per my first response there are still occasions where I'll give in.

Perhaps that means I don't have the "some sort of willpower" required for the "just quit" method...but in that case I did still find a way to quit which is what OP wants to do.
