As long as you are hungry within a few hours later...it's a good sign. Your body is telling you that it's primed and ready for it.
My best "growing" days in the past have been eating during a bulk, and then ready to eat again in a few hours. It's like an insatiable feeling.
As long as I can keep it going...I go all out. It's only when I begin to feel like I'm force feeding myself at the next meal do I start reeling things back in a little.
When you stimulate the body through training to a point where it's asking to be fed, you have found a winning combination.
That's when you milk it for all you can!
