"cash under the mattress" not really but I'm debt free not so much by choice (health scare) this year made me change my plans I payed off most of my loans, plenty of cheap loans over the years maximizing my liquid funds to invest and plenty of cash made in the market since my mid 20s (10 years)

Edit: for my personal situation, I don't mean to sound like a bitch (know it all) truly to each their own


Off topic:

Retiring soon @ 40, my income from my rental properties is fine for me

I'm not like some people that have/want acres and acres of land in Tennessee or vehicle lifts in my personal garage...

I still go to Costco, wife is fine with TJ max and Nordstrom Rack, we go out to dinner 3 or 4 times a week
