Wider tires decrease feel 100% of the time.

But, the issue is the EPS systemó not the tires. The i3 kinda has some feel (still not great) because it barely needs any power steering assistó crazy narrow tires on a crazy light car (BEV i3 is 500-800 lbs lighter than the i8, depending on the year/options of each).
