Also, considering the fact that one cannot drive more than a couple of city blocks in San Francisco without seeing a Tesla, I would be surprised if the I8 did not sell well.
Individuals that can afford to spend upwards of $130,000 on a hybrid sport car are not looking for gas savings, tax credits, or rebates. They are simply making a statement.
