Personally, I don't care about the off-the-line performance, but it's nice to see the M50 deliver on its promise anyway.
With this kind of performance, I don't see why anybody would ever consider a TM3 again, aside from due to the potential price difference, of course.

I agree the off the line thing gets old quick, which is why I passed even after two test drives in Model S cars years apart. That said, that's a big part of what folks want from these cars, so it becomes an important metric for them. Color me unimpressed.
Also, the Cult of Elon is still pretty strong. Folks eat those cars up because they idolize him personally, so they will continue to sell just off of that for some time. Eventually it will fade. The supercharger network is a big plus too. No other manufacturer can offer that right now.
