I could walk 5 miles a day and not lose weight. I just don't burn enough calories by walking. It's taken cycling to get me burning enough calories to start dropping weight. Don't get me wrong, walking is good and I still do it, but the 20 mins/day - 3 days/week crap you hear won't keep most people from being overweight. Not in my experience, anyway.
