I ordered my i8 in the UK on 4 August 2014. Delivery estimate was originally 2 March 2015, but is now w/c 23 March 2015.
BMW now tell me they are increasing the price of my car
I checked the small print in the contract and it allows them to do this. They said I am welcome to cancel and they would refund my deposit. I will not be cancelling of course.
BMW knew the car would be delivered in Spring 2015 when I ordered it at the quoted price last year. But they are retrospectively applying a planned future price increase (March 2015) to my car now.
The dealer also said that if it were being built a single week earlier then I would have avoided the price increase.
The dealer blames BMW.
I was wondering whether anyone knows anything about this despicable and unfair practice? Any advice?
