I don't think it's messed up, I think it's heroic.

People need some unity nowadays and for a city that desperately needed a championship, I for one am excited to see a city being happy about something and sharing a common interest. It's a breath of fresh air. Really wish I could be there (wearing one of my Braves shirts to live vicariously). If my kid was in school and the ability to go, she'd be pulling an absence card. This is a big moment! She can learn about some shapes a different day.
