People need some unity nowadays and for a city that desperately needed a championship, I for one am excited to see a city being happy about something and sharing a common interest. It's a breath of fresh air. Really wish I could be there (wearing one of my Braves shirts to live vicariously). If my kid was in school and the ability to go, she'd be pulling an absence card. This is a big moment! She can learn about some shapes a different day.

Yeah I hear ya. However, if you're not a fan or at least a big enough one to attend the victory parade and both parents work and have 3 school age kids, it's not cool for them. My bud had to take the day off in order to care of the kids at home. Don't always assume everyone is a fan.
