well there are a couple big reasons...namely the new punitive luxury tax that would impose some stiff penalties if a team is over the cap for 3 of the next 4 years. i guess you can say having a 'throw away' year to eventually rebuild a younger team with multiple superstars is a smart move on the business side of things. but i don't really care what it costs mark cuban...he's fucking up big time to blow up a team that just came off a championship and devaluing my season tickets.  |
