The only thing I have found better than Edge Gel is a home made concoction of coconut oil, sugar and essential oils for scent. Smoothest shave ever.

I've been on this train for about 7 years now. I have the exact same clippers. I've been on zero for a few years now, but recently started using a guard. I use the 2mm guard that comes with the same Remington curved clippers. The guards on those are garbage though. I just replaced my old curved clippers 2 months ago and 2 of the guards have already broken on me. I will say for a zero shave, this is the go-to clipper. The curve also works great on body hair. The retired curved clippers are now my body hair clippers.
