LCI refers to the facelift that BMW did in mid 2018. This included the launch of the roadster (which always had the larger battery) and the revised Coupe (which now included the larger battery and associated styling cooling and styling changes).
The roadster definitely had a different seat design (including the release mechanism at the top). Having a bad lower back, I found the roadster far more comfortable in the lumbar region. I do not know if the post LCI coupes had modified seats or not.
To know if you are looking at a post LCI coupe, you look for the word "Coupe" written on the side behind the passenger compartment. Many pre LCI cars are present on later number plates due to using up stock
