My mother had both hips done about a year apart. She was in her 70's, I remember sitting with her in the waiting room for her surgery. She was in so much pain for so long I got used to seeing her not able to sit up straight, a few hours later she was like a new person. Remarkable what they can do. Did you watch a video of the surgery before you went in? There used to be a TV show called the Operation if I recall. Hip and knee replacement can be quite brutal.

I'm glad you're feeling better. Stick to your physio and you'll be cutting a rug in no time.
