some good info. most of it is known across ERs though. diagnostic info is interesting if its true. although I would attribute a lot of the increase in liver enzymes, cpk (and creatinine for that matter) to the dehydration of these patients. A lot of the public just doesn't realize that when you are sick... you have to FORCE yourself to drink fluids (not soda/juice, but water) and eat healthy. Your body needs fuel to fight off the virus.

Interesting about the leukocytopenia to that degree so suddenly though. very scary.

I've been trying to use the pandemic as a scare tactic to get my patients to quit smoking, exercise, and eat right. The analogy I often use is that your body is like an engine... if you put bad fuel in it... its not going to run right or last as long as an engine that was looked after the right way.
