I think the presence of sensors has been noted, several times. The question for some of us is whether, in the absence of an actual ICE, the grills needed to look like something off the back of a T72 tank. |
It's BMW's current design language. Those of us who have owned BMW's over the years will know this is completely normal.
Look how many people thought the F30 was ugly when it was first released. Doesn't take long for the rest to start copying and suddenly everyone likes it.
