Question Miles

I might be clueless but can someone tell me where/how I can see (display) the total number of miles on my ix. The dealership didn’t know where to find that on the car and my google search came up with nothing. The dash does not show that information. Thank you.

You can see it in the MY BMW app or you can go to the Live Vehicle app in the car. I'm not sure, but I believe you can also set it up to show in your instrument cluster.

You can push the left button on the right hand steering control then use the roll radio control to scroll to a screen in the center of the instrument cluster that gives you the odometer.
Also the cluster displays the mileage when you shut down the car.

I find it annoying that the odometer isn't always displayed on the IC.

Not sure if you could leave it set to show all the time but it does display when you turn off the car.

On shutdown, in the app, and as above. No "always on." That's been true with BMWs with non-analog displays as long as I've owned them, and I have no idea why.

You can set it to display trip data on the cluster but it's not as useful as other information so I've always relied on 'turn off the car or look at the app'. This was the case in my G and F series BMWs too. For the iX, it's on page 171 of my manual.

I'm surprised the dealership didn't know. The person must have been clueless and should have checked with the individual that handles lease returns since they have to take a picture of the odometer at turn-in.

If you set it to the kw/hr odometer screen in the display it defaults to it when you turn the car on.
