Triple click to start A/C works, but no feedback

On my previous M340i, if I triple-clicked the lock button on the FOB, it would start the engine and give me a visual feedback, flashing the hazard lights 4 times. Great!

The iX does start the A/C, but it has no visual feedback at all. Since there's no engine and the A/C is very quiet, I have no idea if it actually worked, until I get very close to the car. That kind of defeats the purpose a bit.

Has anybody noticed that as well?

Yes, it does the same for me. There should be an option to enable some kind of visible feedback to know it worked. Right now, you either have to get close to the car or check the app.

Same with my car; another odd and bizarre choice from BMW!

If I ever remote climate with the key, I open the app to see if the climate is running.

Garage List
I use the app 100% of the time since I like to give the car more time to cool the cabin and I can start cooling the cabin before I’m in range for the key to work. In an ICE bmw the key worked okay since it only ran the engine for 15 min before shutting off. And, I don’t carry a key anymore.

I use the app 99.99% of the time, but I have tried the key for remote climate, just to make sure it works.

I have not used the physical key to drive my iX though. The Digital Key + is just too convenient!

For us iPhone users, can you please detail how to do/add this widget? Thanks so much!

I use the app quite a bit as well, but sometimes it’s too slow and irritating. I can see the car from my office window, so the triple-click thing is straightforward, if it had any feedback.

The method is consistent for all iOS apps: tap and long hold any open space in your home screen, once the icons start wiggling, tap the plus sign + on top left corner, in the top search bar, type BMW, you should then be able to see several widgets to choose from. Tap and long hold the one you want to put it on to the home screen.

Thanks. I have had the BMW app/widget on my iPhone Home Screen since 2017

I thought this widget was something that puts the remote climate on the screen, bypassing the BMW app. Thanks though
