How do I sell stock from Computershare?
I've been trying to off the 3 shares I have for a while. I have yet to figure out how to do so.
I'm hoping someone else has an account with them and has sold stock from it. I worked for O'Reilly Automotive years back. Enrolled in the the employee stock program. Had no idea about the stock until years later when I received certificates in the mail. Made an account with CS and found out that I had made a nice return vs investment. Now I want to sell the stock. Looks like I acquired them in 2007, LOL Last edited by iminhell1; 10-27-2019 at 05:15 PM.. |

You can link your bank account to it and then transfer the funds. ComputerShare has fees so be careful to read what they are. It’s probably more cost effective to make big transfers vs multiple smaller ones.

Do you use transfer wizard to sell? I don't have access to that. Not sure why. Submitted an inquiry. |

It’s been some time since my last transfer but yes, I believe that’s correct. It can take a couple business days to see the money. The funds have to be sold so you wait a day for market close and then they move the money, so you see a number of days where your funds disappear. Kind of nerve wracking.

I think I paid about $90 total (according to historical data) and it's worth about $1,400 now. I did nothing to earn the money. So any amount is just free money to me. |
