Email / Text Connected Drive Advice

Just taken delivery of my new i8 . I am having problems setting up my email settings and text messages in the My BMW profile settings ? I am with BT for my emails ( doesn't appear on the pre loaded drop down options list ) I am using an IPhone 6 . I also have a 330 D Msport Tourer and have the same problem . Please can anybody give me some pointers ? I have spoken to my I8 Genius advisor who appears not to be a real genius !?

Strangely enough the iPhone does not seamlessly connect and provide email and text messages. But there is a workaround.

In the iPhone's Settings, go to Cellular and find and enable LTE for Voice & Data. The next time you connect your phone to your iDrive, when you have a new text or email you should see an envelope pop up in the upper box in the Navigation system.

Press down on the telephone call button until Siri asks you what you want. Then say "read email" or "read text message." She will.

This has worked successfully on my i8 and my new M4.

I'm told that Android phones can get mail and text directly, completely through the BMW system, without the Siri workaround.
