I am trying to plan a trip to Munich December 19-23, 2025 and would love to visit the factory for a tour again (I did it in 2013 and want a refresher).

Some questions:

1. Are there plant closures around Christmas? What's the likelihood of being able to tour on Friday 12/19/2025, Saturday 20th, Sunday 21st, Monday 22nd, Tuesday 23rd?

2. Tours sell out. Currently, I only see availability in September. When do tickets become available?

3. Is the current construction limiting the factory tour experience?

4. What about the museum? Will it be open those dates? When do tickets become available?

I have tried to answer your queries below.

1 - I would say highly unlikely given many staff would probably be on vacation around that time. There may also be a change in production given the timeframe and when this happens, plant tours are restricted.

2 - Tickets normally become available when they know what the production cycle has been normalised. That is to say that if there is a change in production, plant tours are not offered. Generally, tickets are available 3 months in advance.

3 - No. I went last month and the tour actually includes a walk past the new factory.

4 - The museum is not open on Mondays so I would imagine that would still apply. However I did hear when I was there last month that there was a reduction in opening days during the last quarter of 2025. I think it was limited to opening 3 days per week during Oct-Dec 2025.

I would recommend contacting the BMW booking centre for final confirmation.
