how did you unlock your 3g? the dev team didn't release 3g unlock yet. are you using a sim unlock?

i have my 3g jailbroken, but have not updated it to the new 2.1 software yet. I want to do the update, but, have not heard anything about doing the jailbreak on 2.1 yet. Any info?

Also, hows the phone working out for ya?

the 3g jailbreak with itunes 8 and 2.1 is out on dev team's blog for both windows and mac. but i want to know how this guy did a software 3g unlock, not unless he is using a sim.

the phone is great. jailbroken and unlocked and kicking ass . hows the 3g piece? if you want to switch ever, let me know

i like the 3g. its basically the same, but, it does seem to run a bit better. Im sure I will like it a lot more once I get this update. I have been having a big problem with failed calls, but, the update should resolve that issue.

As far as getting rid of this one, ehh, probably wont happen until apple drops a new one. thanks again!

THANK YOU! I havent been keeping up with the whole iphone unlocking.. been wanting to update to 2.0 just for the app store, but wanted to make sure it was unlockable. So no problems with these programs? Safe to use?

where does it say winpwn 2.5beta/3.0 can unlock 3g iphone? as far as i know 3g can only be jailbroken. what service carrier are you using?

isn't winpwn a guy that just converts the dev team's mac release?

the winpwn does use the dev team tools and just converts it for us windows users. so winpwn 2.5 doesn't have unlock 3g as the dev team never released one yet, only unlock...

although theres no actuall proof such as showing us the sim card n shit...

there is NO way to unlock the software on any 3g iphone so far... 2gs are VERY easy up to 1.4.... the only way to use another service on an ATT 3g iphone is to BUY one that is already unlocked (they are sold that way in europe) or to use something called a turbo sim which attaches to the back of your sim and tricks the phone to thinking its an ATT one

jailbreaking will work with 2.1 but ive heard of some errors that some people get using somethings.... ive jailbroken all of my iphones at one time or another and to be honest i like it better "stock" LOL... always some kind of error message or something at some point when jailbroken

Does the itune Apps work with jailbreak on itouch? I recently downloaded the new apps thing for $10 bucks and all my jailbreak shit got deleted and reprogrammed.

If i jailbreak my itouch again would my apps still work for itunes?

no iphone on verizon EVER lol has to be a GSM carrier such as ATT tmobile, or most carriers with SIM cards

the US is one of the only countries to offer CDMA networks (sprint, verizon) and they will eventually phase out as GSM seems to be the best technology

not saying those two companies will go out of business at all, they will most likely convert to GSM

The E next to your service stands for EDGE... there are 3 data networks att runs on... GPRS, EDGE, and 3G....

each of them gets faster and the indicator next to your service just shows which network you are in at the time

you can turn 3g off in settings>network and save ALOT of battery
