I had the car for 8 months, no problems or issues, but I jumped on one of those ridiculously cheap Audi RS etron GT leases. $48k off!! I’m flying out to pick up the Audi on Tuesday and will share my thoughts. Hopefully it will be just as reliable and trouble-free as my i4. I’m a huge BMW fanboi, but this was just too good a deal to pass up. Plus I was sort of itching to unload both my purchased EVs, my wife’s ID.4 we got rid of a couple of months ago for her iX, and now my i4. I wanted to get back into leasing given the crazy depreciation on these BEVs. Wish me luck, but now when I’m here on BP, I’ll be mostly on the iX subforum, but talk about crickets! Lol

The Audi lease deals are crazy.

I have a friend buying one via a lease.

The car was $124k and he'll pay about $100k.

They threw in tinted windows and a charger after all the discount.

He'll lease for 3-6 months then buy it getting all the discounts and subtract the monthly payments.

Insurance and registration here in Nevada will make this less of a fantastic deal, and just make it a great deal.

True!
I was quoted a $45 total increase (prorated) for 10 months on the standard etron gt, but $598 for the RS!! PA registration is peanuts compared to other states.

Yeah, you guys in NJ luck out in that respect with no sales tax on BEVs but then you should be compensated for something having to live in that State! Lol
BTW, I was proudly born and raised in NJ, so I can talk crap!

Flew to OH yesterday morning to take delivery, and immediately turned around and drove her home to PA. Drove a smidge under 500 miles and she performed flawlessly, as did the charging. Highest I got was 161 max kilowatts in Cambridge OH. More to come…

Not familiar with a 1-pay lease. So it was "only" one payment of $7500 for a 12-month lease?

7500 was in reference to the miles, but I just plan to pay for more miles mid-year since it is significantly cheaper than establishing the lease at 10k which would lower the residual.

Read your PM, but figured a pic would be easier, and don’t think we can post pics in PMs here. BTW, this isn’t my pic or from the dealer I worked. However, you can find lots of things on the inner-webs

There are also your typical lease start up fees that are due as well.

So out of the few 2023 RS eTron GT models that I would actually lease, everything is on a stop sale!!

You are apparently very lucky (or not if they sold you a vehicle that should have been under stop-sale). It appears almost every RS eTron GT is under a stop sale for the High Voltage Battery recall. All vehicles produced September 22, 2022 through August 28, 2023 are subject to the recall.

Recalls - High Voltage Battery

START DATE: Sep 07, 2023

DESCRIPTION

Under certain circumstances, there is a possibility that over time liquid can intrude into the high voltage battery of certain vehicles. Over time, if a sufficient amount of conductive liquid accumulates in the battery, arcing can occur, which could increase the risk of a thermal event.

Dealership would not have been able to sell me my car if there had been a stop sale at the time.

Mine was produced in July 2023. But as of today, no recalls

This is literally the best lease deal I've seen perhaps ever.

What's driving Audi to offer such a lease?
