OEM Mats

Hi all,

Waiting for delivery of my i4 and looking to get some OEM rubber mats. Are the 3 series G20 mats the same for the G26? I know the previous generation 3/4 series used the same but wasn't sure whether they were.

Been looking and there's no mention of OEM mats for the G26 anywhere!

Thanks!

Are you looking for All Weather mats? I was able to order it when I submitted my M50 order at the dealership. It appears that they have a bit more options to order than the standard BMW website. It was for $199. Didnt know if it included the trunk tray but will confirm it when close to delivery

is it safe to assume they will be the same all weather mats for a 430 GC?

You’re kidding that they’re not standard for you?

They are in the UK…

Sorry just noticed you asked for rubber mats….

Dont know as I dont own either...lol. If you have a 4 series, might be worth is to wait till u get the I4 and try it on before u order new ones. if not, then I would just order it with the I4 for $199.

There are very slight differences when it comes to interior space between i4 and 4 series GC. I looked at the specs the other day; they're not identical. They'll likely fit both cars but I would probably wait for the ones for the i4.

It might be worth to point out that the mats do have the markings of the model (atleast on the fronts). My X3 mats comes marked as X3 on them. So if you are a bit nitpicky, you might not want to drive a 4 series mats with the I4 coz most likely they might say 4 series on them.

the BMW mats are premium quality and the fitting is great. Only gripe I have with them is the trunk liner. If you have your trunk open for 5 minutes in the sun it expands like crazy. I might try a weathertech for the liner.

I ordered mine from the dealer in late april. They are specific to the 4GC and they had to be shipped from Germany. At the time they were not stocked in any US warehouse. I also ordered the trunk mat.

I just placed an order for a rubber boot liner from an outfit called BootsLiners.co.uk

If it wasn't the fact I am regularly lifting the son's wheelchair in and out of it I would have bought a fancier one but I need durable. Should come in the next few days so will post a pic.

BTW £32.50 + delivery so you can't be bad to that.

Is the trunk lines thick rubber or thin? The one with my current X3 was horrible. The edges started to curve up and they dont lay flat anymore and starts shifting despite the velcro on the bottom and its soo annoying. I flipped it on the other side so it wont curl up. Might go with weathertech trunk liner too for my I4.

It's thin, and I have the exact same issue you're describing. In addition , it expands quite a bit fairly quickly if left even a few minutes in the sun. I'll be getting weathertech on the liner too.

On the flip side, I have no complaints whatsoever for the BMW OEM rubber mats.

Thanks. I agree, the BMW mats are good and have a little cushioning effect on them. The weathertech are a bit too skinny and firm and it does hurt my heels when I drive too long. Prefer the BMW mats and the weathertech trunk liner. Looks like a good compromise...lol

I have the genuine bmw boot cover in my x5 and a cheaper Amazon one in my x3 and tbh the Amazon one is sorta better for both fit and function was 75 shipped to my door. Will have to wait until aftermarket things start showing up for i4. I usually get the rubber mats from ecs tuning as they are slightly cheaper than the dealer but they aren't showing up yet

Did you ever get confirmation of the correct part numbers for the right hand drive all weather mats?

I've got the i4 on order and moving from a M340i Touring so assuming my G21 mats won't be a fit?

The dealer has them.
I got some 8 months ago when I got my car.

I don't know if they are the same but I'm guessing not since the rear floor is different.
