First Impression

Almost four months after ordering, I received my Aventurin Red xDrive40 (Premium pkg, DAPP, PAP, stock wheels) yesterday in Colorado. Weather looked clear, so we took the fully-charged car for a drive into the mountains this morning to Breckenridge from Colorado Springs: 110 miles (177 km) from start to stop, with a net elevation gain of 1000m or 3300 ft in temps mostly below freezing, but as high as 5C/41F, dry roads, blue skies. We arrived with 54% battery charge and displayed remaining range of 130 miles (210 km) in the car and 155 miles (248 km) on the myBMW app. A truly fabulous ride... The regenerative braking "B mode" driving did well on the downhills as we crossed three mountain passes en route ranging from 10,000 to 11,500 feet. I even let my wife (who has a '22 X5 45e) drive some of the way.

Great car.

How do you like the seats on xDrive40?

Very comfortable--no complaints at all from driver or passenger side. I may remove the rear middle seat headrest for better rearview mirror visibility, though.
We had some snow and ice (nothing too serious) and the car handled it wonderfully.
